2014: Images Through the Year

As the calendar flips to another new year, it's time to reflect and put together a compilation of some of my favorite photographs that I've created in 2014.  As I go back and browse the collections from this season, I can remember how much fun I had making these images.  I can remember where we were, the weather, the sounds, the sights, the ambiance.  It really is almost like time traveling for me.

Please take a few minutes and enjoy some of my favorite images from 2014.  I'd like to extend some huge thank you's to everyone that participated in the creation of these photographs.  Thank you for letting me share your special day with you.  Thank you for helping me make great memories.  Most of all, thank you for giving me the opportunity to hone my craft and do what I love; I am very grateful for all of you.  It really wouldn't be possible without all of the unique and interesting people I've met.

I can't wait to see what '15 brings for BMp and the people I get to meet and work with.  Stay tuned for some fun off season winter photos and I'll see you in the spring!

Stephen + Elizabeth // A Vintage Evening

An old friend rang my phone a few months ago.  He and his fiancee's wedding had been pushed up a bit quicker than expected, and he was calling to invite me to share their special day not only as a guest, but also to capture their story.  I was delighted by their offer and obliged without any hesitation.

The weather cooperated.  The location was perfect.  The small but close group of friends and family made for the perfect afternoon and evening.  I knew it wasn't going to be difficult to create memories for Stephen and Elizabeth -- it was effortless for them to be worry free and relaxed.  This is what it's all about -- this is why I do what I do.  To be able to share special times with special people and help to illustrate their story...there's nothing better.

Jake + Sarah // Backyard Twilight Wedding

I had the pleasure of attending the wedding of two very dear friends of mine -- as a guest!  No shooting required for the first time in a while.  Friends gathered from all across the continent to help celebrate their day in the comforts of their own home.  One of the most gorgeous wedding settings I've ever seen -- and all they had to do was walk out of their backdoor.  Doesn't get much better than that!  Even though I wasn't the photographer at this wedding, for some reason I couldn't leave my camera in the car.  I had to catch my own images of best friends reuniting with each other and just having a good time.  Great friends, great family, great memories.  Congrats Jake and Sarah!
