How many photos do you deliver?

Instead of promising an exact number of photos, I prefer a ballpark range. Depending on the package, most clients end up receiving between 400-600 retouched images. Telling the story of your special day and creating quality images is what is most important to me.

How do we create the best images we possibly can?

Be yourselves. That's the secret to a great shoot. I bring the inspiration and creativity, you bring the good moods, smiling faces, and laughter. I always set up a meet and greet before we do any shooting just to get to know you and find out exactly what you're looking for. Wear something that you enjoy wearing, and that you think you look good wearing. After that, great shots will just start happening!

Do you travel for wedding assignments?

Absolutely. Destination weddings are always a blast and I enjoy shooting them. Travel within the Metro Detroit area is included, and anywhere more than a two hour drive is a flat $250 fee. For travel outside of the Michigan or United States, you should expect to cover airfare, transportation, and hotel accomodations for two nights.

Where should we shoot?

What sort of look and feel are you envisioning? Are you city people or more apt to go with a nature/outdoor theme? The most important thing is where you feel the most comfortable. If that's in your neighborhood or living room, so be it. We'll make great images regardless of the location.

Do you shoot with an assistant?

It all depends on your package choice. For most packages, a second photographer is included, with coverage between 4 and 6 hours. A second set of eyes and another camera offers a different vantage point and allows for greater flexibility while covering your wedding. All photo editing is still done by me, regardless of who the second photographer is.

Do you require a shot list?

I like to have a shot list provided for the formal family pictures. It helps to make sure we get everything covered and no family members are left out. Besides the formals, nothing else is required. Capturing the moment is the most important part -- you provide the basics and I'll take care of the rest!

When will I receive my photos?

I always shoot for 4-6 weeks for the full collection delivery. However, if your wedding falls during the peak of the season (June-September), please allow an additional 2 weeks. These are conservative estimates; I always strive to beat my deadlines and usually end up doing so. You'll receive a password protected private gallery with a handful of images 2 weeks after your wedding date that will help to ease the anticipation until the full collection is delivered.

Do you provide the digital files?

All wedding and engagement collections include a USB drive with high resolution, retouched images. Release on the images is also provided, which allows you to make as many prints as you'd like from the drive.

What is your payment policy?

I require a $500 retainer fee to reserve your wedding date. This retainer will be put towards the remaining balance, 50% of which is due 30 days before the wedding, and the remaining 50% due two weeks after the wedding date. Almost all forms of payment are accepted, including all major credit cards.
